Core Drilling

Concrete core drilling is a mechanical process of cutting a circular hole for electrical/plumbing/fire suppression/HVAC/utility systems.  They can be cut through concrete/brick/block/precast, and through walls/floors/roofs/structures. This is a fast and efficient way to run piping/conduit/lines and have a clean look while maintaining structural integrity of the building. We have equipment that helps us get in and out of projects quickly with little disruption to operations/processes of the facility.

Hole sizes can range from 1” all the way up to 60” diameter with custom sizes produced to fit the project needs.  We can drill as deep as 10ft or deeper depending project and requirements.  If no anchor hole can be used to anchor the stand there are vacuum bases and weighted stands we can used to accommodate the needs of the project.

Slab Sawing

Slab sawing is a mechanical method that uses diamond blades to cut through asphalt/concrete/pavers/brick/block etc.  Methods can be used indoors/outdoors with electric/gas/diesel equipment.  Using a walk behind or ride on saw, cuts are made on the road for removals/excavation/utility work.  Interior trenching/pits/slab replacements/renovations can use slab sawing to aid in clean cuts and removals.  Cuts can be made through any amount of rebar/railroad track/steel in the material. Slab sawing can be done slab on grade or on suspended floors such as high rise buildings/bridges/roofs.  Tier 4 diesel saws are used to keep emissions low while used in warehouses/industrial facilities. Green sawing also can be done using traditional cutting slab saws to help increase production and follow certain specifications the project requires.

Hand Sawing/Ring Saw/Chain Saw

These methods can be used to make HVAC/mechanical/plumbing/electrical openings/utility openings.  With the ability to cut up to 25” thick these tools are used to make small openings where a wall saw is not able to fit.  They are used in conjunction with wall sawing to chainsaw corners as well.  With options to use gas powered tools these can efficiently used outdoors while hydraulic/electric can be used where ventilation is limited.

Wall Sawing

This method is operated by a remote control and powered by 480V power.   This is a very safe method of cutting walls/floors/structures.  With the ability to cut 26” thick this saves a lot of time and material than using hand saws.  Cutting through any sort of material needed.  The operator mounts a track to the structure and stands back and runs the saw on the track to complete the cutting. Flush cutting/horizontal/vertical all can be done to complete the project.

Wire Sawing

Also known as rope sawing, this method uses diamond wire to cut through any material needed.  Can be used to cut through straight steel if needed.   With a combination of pulleys wire sawing can be placed in any circumstance, whether it be a foundation or underwater wire sawing is great method to cut structure/objects for removal.  Wire sawing is powered by a 480V electric motor and remote control to help provide a safe working environment.

Demo-Removals

We can provide the services to cut and remove any sort of concrete structure using skid steer/excavators/cranes.  With using breaking methods combined with saw cutting we can efficiently cut and remove material that would help expedite projects and schedules.  With relationships in the industry haul away of debris can be accomplished so that material is recycled and re used for future projects.

Robotic Demolition

Robots are specialty used to complete breaking/processing/lifting/scarifying to remove material out of a project.  Different size machines can be used to in areas to maximize production and ability of removal.  With tracks and turret to be remote controlled operated, this puts the operator away from the machine and out of harms way.  These machines will out work 20+ men with the demolition strength is has.  With a light footprint it can be used in high rise buildings and suspended floors where larger equipment can not be used.

Specialty Demolition

We are able to demolish and remove concrete/brick/block structures.  We can gut the interior of a building using electric skid steers and removal methods that help keep the structure of the building in tact. Demolition of mechanical structures/piping/platforms can be accomplished so new more efficient equipment can be installed.  Demolition of exterior parts of buildings so additions/renovations can be added. Structural demolition of existing structures can be accomplished in strategic ways to keep adjacent building un affected.

Concrete Work

Once interior/exterior trenching/removals are completed.  Utility work can be done below grade and we can come and place new concrete to match existing floors. Exterior and interior pads/platforms can be completed to assist help mechanical contractors in setting new equipment/processes.

Site Work

Site work consists of site demolition, site cleaning, and removals for new construction activities.  Grand Co has helped complete excavation for new additions to buildings/structures.  Grading areas for new playgrounds, paths, and parking areas.

Trucks/Equipment

We use the latest technology when it comes to equipment helping us be as versatile as possible.  We own electric and propane equipment so that running equipment indoors can be done safely and efficiently.  With a fleet of vehicles, we try to outfit each vehicle with the tools to complete jobs and limit down time.
